The reason I bought this camera (my third) is that one of my older, out of warranty ones, would record continuously but not per event, the other older camera was working perfectly . When the new camera arrived I set it up but it showed the same problem. After several days of restarting, changing settings, resetting etc it started recording by event. At the same time the camera I was replacing also started recording by event. Strange. Firmware update perhaps?
The only criticism that I have is that when I replay (on my iPhone) recorded events stored on the memory card they replay at slightly less than normal speed with intermittent sound, however if you use the record button to save the recording to phone photos the playback of that is at correct speed with good sound.

I use 2 x PC650 cameras for home security. Positioned near front and back windows they are ideal. Very good picture, very good app an excellent value for money.
